Gyanu Bhatta is a senior trekking guide in Nepal with a career spanning nearly three decades. He began in 1996 as a porter, carrying loads for trekkers through the Himalayas, before working his way up to camping and expedition cook, and eventually to trekking leader a rare path that gives him a ground-level understanding of what a trek actually demands, not just how to lead one.
He has extensive guiding experience across Nepal's most popular trekking regions, including Annapurna, Everest, and Manaslu, as well as remote areas like Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpo, and Kanchenjunga and has also guided in Tibet. Gyanu holds government-certified qualifications in First Aid, Responsible Tourism and English language, and is known among travellers for his dedication, reliability, and genuinely good sense of humour on the trail.
