A ride up to Sarangkot rewards you with a breathtaking panorama of majestic Himalayan peaks that feels truly astonishing. For groups of 1–3 riders, the package price includes a bike of your choice and a professional mechanic accompanying the tour. A support vehicle is not included for this group size.

For groups of 4–15 riders, the package price includes a bike of your choice, a professional mechanic and a dedicated support vehicle for luggage, spares and assistance throughout the tour.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by the Himalayan Eco Ride team and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in and some rest, there will be a tour briefing session where you will be introduced to the route, road conditions, safety guidelines and your motorbike. In the evening, you can explore the lively streets of Thamel, enjoy local cuisine, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

The ride begins after breakfast as you leave the Kathmandu Valley through Thankot and descend towards Naubise. The road follows the Trishuli River with beautiful views of hills, rivers and terraced fields. This section offers smooth highways mixed with winding curves, making it an enjoyable start to the tour. From Dumre, you take an uphill road to Bandipur, a beautifully preserved Newari hill town. After reaching Bandipur, you can walk through its stone-paved streets, admire traditional houses, and witness a stunning sunset over the Himalayan range. Overnight stay in Bandipur.

After breakfast, you descend from Bandipur and continue riding towards Pokhara. This is a shorter and relaxing ride through scenic countryside and small settlements. You will reach Pokhara by early afternoon, giving you plenty of time to relax by Phewa Lake. You may enjoy a lakeside walk, boating or simply rest while admiring the reflection of the Annapurna range on the water. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Today’s ride follows the famous Siddhartha Highway, known for its continuous curves, forest sections and breathtaking valley views. This highway is a favorite among riders for its smooth bends and peaceful surroundings. Gradually, you climb towards Tansen in Palpa district, a historic hill town rich in culture and architecture. After arrival, you can explore Palpa Durbar Square and visit Srinagar Hill for panoramic views. Overnight stay in Palpa (Tansen).

Leaving the hills behind, you descend towards the Terai plains. The temperature becomes warmer as the road straightens out into flat highways passing through villages and farmlands. By afternoon, you reach Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha. In the evening, you can visit the peaceful garden area, monasteries built by different countries, and the Maya Devi Temple. The calm and spiritual atmosphere of Lumbini offers a unique contrast to the previous hill rides. Overnight stay in Lumbini.

Riding Experience Required

This tour is suitable for riders with basic highway and hill road riding experience. Confidence on curves and long riding hours is recommended.

Road Conditions

The route includes smooth highways, winding hill roads, occasional rough patches and Terai flat roads. Road conditions may vary depending on weather and maintenance.

Weather & Clothing

Temperatures vary from cool hills to warm plains. Riders should carry layered clothing, riding gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen and a light jacket for mornings and evenings.

Health & Safety

A support vehicle follows the group carrying luggage, first aid kit and provides emergency backup. Riders should have personal travel insurance covering motorbike riding.

Luggage Support

All main luggage is carried in the support vehicle. Riders should carry only essential day items in a small backpack.

Fuel is included, and basic mechanical support is available throughout the tour.
