Nepal Flood Update: Travel in the Rasuwa Region Temporarily Halted

Nepal is currently facing a serious situation in parts of the northern Himalayas.

A major flash flood has swept through Rasuwa and the Bhote Koshi river corridor, damaging infrastructure and affecting communities in the region. Search and rescue operations are continuing, while authorities are closely monitoring areas downstream.

Because of the current conditions, travel and trekking in the affected areas have been temporarily halted for the next few days as authorities assess road, bridge and trail conditions.

For travellers planning to visit Rasuwa, Syafrubesi, Langtang and nearby northern mountain routes, it is important to check the latest local information before travelling. Mountain roads and trails can change quickly during Nepal's monsoon season.
