Do I Need a Motorbike License to Ride in Nepal?

Riding a motorbike in Nepal looks super exciting. There are mountains everywhere, long winding roads and amazing views that feel straight out of a travel vlog. But before jumping on a bike, one important question comes up: is a motorbike license required to ride a bike in Nepal?

The simple answer is yes, a motorbike license is required. Nepal has traffic rules and riding without a valid license is illegal. Traffic police regularly check riders and if someone is caught without a proper license, they can be fined and stopped from continuing the ride.
