After the recent flood in Rasuwa, many travelers are asking: Can we still get to Rasuwa?

The short answer is: not normally at the moment. The flood caused major damage to roads, bridges and infrastructure around areas such as Timure, Syabrubesi and the Bhote Koshi corridor. Access to some parts of Rasuwa is currently difficult while rescue and recovery work continues.

If you are planning to travel to Rasuwa, Gosaikunda, Langtang or the Nepal–China border, you currently cannot travel to these areas due to the flood damage and disrupted access.

The situation is changing as recovery work continues, so access may improve in the coming days and weeks. For travelers planning trips later in the year, it is best to stay updated and confirm conditions with local authorities or a local trekking/tour operator before traveling.

For now, avoid traveling to affected areas unless access has been confirmed safe.
